Dissemination Workshop

A Dissemination Workshop of the study ‘Developing impact measures for e-Infrastructures’ will be held on February 20th 2012 in Brussels, which is open for all interested persons.

The study, launched by the EC Directorate General Information Society and Media, was aimed at developing and testing a framework for assessing the development and impact of e-Infrastructures in Europe. This effort will help shaping the support for de-velopment of the European science and research landscape successfully towards e-Sciences for which e-Infrastructures are one of the most important key elements.

For developing the framework we carried out a survey of the EC-funded e-Infrastructure projects as well as several case studies. The purpose of this workshop is to present and discuss and validate the findings of the study and the resulting monitoring system as well as its policy implications. This will be done in three steps: first, study results, including methodology and results of the evaluation, will be presented and dis-cussed. Secondly, invited experts and stakeholders will give their view on the results and possible conclusions. Finally all results of the day will be discussed in an open forum offering participants the possibility to comment on the results and to contribute to their further development.

We would be pleased to welcome all person interest in this topic at this event which will give the opportunity to actively participate in the development of e-Infrastructures in Europe.

Please register for participation until February 15th, 2012 by a mail to the contacts below. We are looking forward to welcoming you in Brussels.

Please feel also free to forward the attached invitation to others, who might be inter-ested in the topic.
